killer painting?

[Lux Devil]

I think this movie came out in the 70's. I remember the commercial showing a portrait of a guy. It says he died and on his will left to someone his own room then it shows a guy screaming while you see either dirt or a wall fly up past the window like the room is sinking. Another guy gets a new suit then it shows him clutching at his neck as if his tie is too tight and choking him.

That's all I can remember. Any ideas?

Thanks, but that ain't it. The whole story revolves around the dead uncle, or whoever he is, in the painting getting revenge on his family.

Sounds like "Tales That Witness Madness" to me. A British film from 1973 starring Kim Novak of "vertigo" fame.
