I just checked the trailer for this and it look's quite creepy, hopefully it has a Insidious feel to it in terms of creepiness and scares etc.

I was supposed to see it last Thursday but I was in the ER. Luckily there is another screening tonight and my friend didn't forget about me

He saw it last week and said it was great. He and I both love The Pact and regard it as possibly the best horror film this year and he said Sinister is better, so I'm pretty pumped about this.

I'm going to have to watch this one now, I was going to let it slip by because Casper Van Dien is in it so I felt it was destined for post Starship Troopers mediocrity.

I am psyched for Sinister though.

Dark, not sure yet. It's either going to be the AMC in Clifton Commons or Garden State Plaza. A majority of screenings I go to are at the Clifton Commons.

To spare anyone not wanting to read it is quite simple, GO SEE THIS MOVIE!

Guess what? Scott Derrickson has just proven that horror movies can still be scary. Ethan Hawke is outstanding as an author who purposely moves his family into a house where he knows is the site of murders to aide in his writings.

Then he finds the box of film in the attic. That's when things get quite interesting. With a great supporting cast Sinister weaves its story slowly but with purpose. The movie grinds on your nerves as it is filmed beautifully by Derrickson.

Although Sinister doesn't pave new grounds it doesn't matter. It is made so perfectly with great use of wide camera angles and a gritty tone that it actually feels new and refreshing.

Sinister is a movie that horror fans should pay to see. Even during it's slower times Sinister still portrays an ever present sense of dread and unease and when the movie amps up it is likely to put a chill into even the seasoned horror fan.

So here in 2012 we got 2 incredible horror films with The Pact and now Sinister. For me all other horror movies can't touch these two class acts of the genre. I hope the rest of the genre learns something from these two movies. You don't have to re-invent the wheel, just gather the proper talent and make something special.

As for Sinister I will be at the theater again opening night to see it again. Wow, what a movie!

Oh Dark, the screening was actually at the AMC in West Orange. That theater is nuts. Since it was invite only the crowd was awesome. Never been to a theater like this before. Watching a movie in a theater while drinking some Krak n Coke was pretty amazing. This theater is strictly 21 and over.
