The director of Cross Bearer contacted me via FaceBook and said he'd like to send me a copy of his film and a novella he wrote entitled Into The Chasm. His name is Adam Ahlbrandt I want to thank you kind sir for the privilege to view your movie which I was very excited to watch...in fact, having massive orgasms very time I watched the trailer..

    Storyline:

Heather is broke. She has a soul sucking job as a stripper. Her girlfriend has a baby and a coke problem. Life cannot get much worse....so she thought. Determined to escape this living hell, Heather plans to rip off her boss and ditch town. She and her friends are sent to negotiate a drug deal at an old warehouse, but soon find themselves trapped by a rambling, religious madman armed with a carpenter's hammer and fanatic passion. The Cross Bearer hunts down Heather and her friends in a sadistic, violent crusade and for those who survive, nothing will ever be the same. Unflinchingly raw, primal and horrifying, Cross Bearer is a trip to the darkest, most vile side of humanity.

That was on the back of the DVD. Now I will tell you my thoughts.

Ummmm. No. Quite boring at times. There was not enough of the Cross Bearer, though the scenes with him...the gore was fantastic. Hammer smashing into heads is one of my favorite things to see.

We see a pile of his victims in one scene...it looked like each body was strategically placed...No. I wanted to see these corpses just thrown..twisted and mangled in this death pile.

The actors were fantastic and the humor very good...and I hate funny stuff in my gore. It worked very well.
Beautiful tatooed naked women everywhere and blood...this is always a good thing to watch..sex scenes, not too graphic but you got the idea

Harry, the strip club owner....what a filthy fuck... and Heather, the main chick...very awesome. They had this one scene in a car, they were waiting to do the drug deal...the convo these 5 people were having was brilliant..I enjoyed that scene. ....talking about horror cinema and porn.

Anyway...a bit of a let down but, but not all that bad. I am certainly grateful to have had the privilege to view this movie and have it added to my collection. Thank you very much..Adam and crew

    Rating...6/10. : )
Oh yeah...the cinematography was beautiful. The film looked very good.

I'll be putting up a thread for Adams next film The Cemetery which looks fucking amazing!

    That was awesome of him!
I will still probably end up seeing this since you mentioned the gore was good, I just hope it's enough to keep me entertained.

    Good review.

That's cool that you are thought well enough of by them to have that opportunity. Sounds like they value your opinion.
Sounds like an interesting flick though, and appears to have a bit of promising material there still. Another flick for your collection.
