I wasn't a fan of the book's structure, pieced together from various interviews, so I don't care if it's faithful to that. The original is remembered for DePalma's visual flare. This probably won't come close.

The teaser trailer I watched today through yahoo and I admit I wasn't very impressed with it. Maybe once the full trailer comes out I'll be a bit more excited about it. I admit, I was a little pissed they were remaking this AGAIN after the shitpile that was the last made for tv movie remake. I will still probably catch this in theaters once it comes out being a fan of the original. Chloe Moretz is a great actress, especially at such a young age so I'm sure she will do a good damn job with what she is given. I'm just wondering how this story will truly play out.

Even though I hate remakes, i'll be watching this since I said a long time that i'm going to watch every Stephen King adaption. This better be a good remake.

I'm actually happy with the trailer because even though I never read the book I know theres a lot more to the ending than the original movie had in it. It'll be cool to see what happens after the "black prom". Although I was never a huge Carrie fan I do really like Moretz as an actress. She seems to be one of those few young people that doesn't just do the first movie that comes along. Having her in this movie has me wanting to actually watch it.

The original is one boring movie. Although it is filmed brilliantly the movie itself just isn't good. I have tried to sit through it a few times and I just can't.

I really can't believe they chose this of all things to remake, between movies and tv I feel like it's been done to death. No interest in this at all.

My main problem is Carrie doesn't look like an outcast in this. She is hot as fuck. Just the chick in the original was very 'girl next door' looking. Where this one looks like she modelled for People magazine.

And I can't see them doing the period scene. Which is a shame, it's rather meaningful to Carrie's story, and it shows how left out of knowledge she is, both at school and at home, not knowing what was happening to her. I don't think Hollywood has the balls to do something like that these days.

I didn't know that, and like I've said I've only seen one poster for this.

Also, 15 is one year from being legal here, so ssssuck it. I just Googled though and I do feel a little ill. However, she is attractive, or, will be. Either way she does not have that 'girl next door' quality. And looks like she'd be one of the 'popular' kids at a school. Baaaad casting choice IMO.
