Last House on Dead End Street.

I just received in the post yesterday my latest acquisitions from Toe Tag. With this usually comes with cards, a business card and some of their movies. They always have one advertising said movie on it coming out on VHS.

So, tell me about 'Last House on Dead End Street' please.

I know I can just Google it but we do belong to a Horror Forum and usually the replies are interesting and um...funny

There was a little write-up about a showing of this in 'Cinema Sewage Volume 1'.

From what I can gather it is a 'Snuff Film' from the 70s. Sorta makes sense for Toe Tag to re-release a special edition of this on VHS. There was a DVD release from what I read but this quickly went OOP.

It's not a bad flick. Highly sought after film! In particular, the OOP Barrel Entertainment USA DVD release. Goes for quite a penny!

From what I saw any release of this on DVD went OOP quite fast.

As a movie fan what is the best edition of this movie to purchase? There are a few to choose from and the Greek and French versions are pretty cheap. A couple of versions on there claim to be uncut.

Just hope that isn't a bootleg copy mate. If you can find the US Barrel Entertainment copy for "cheap" (good luck with that), then I would get that. Otherwise, any German Edition of the film would probably be great. I have the German CMV Jewelcase Edition of the film (Limited to 1500). It's completely uncut and it is said to have a longer special features than the US Barrel Entertainment release. In particular, the interview segment.

All up cost me $20.00 including postage so not complaining...unless they crack onto the price of postage to Australia If the picture and sound is good and truly is uncut awesome

I have movies that some would consider 'collector's items' but I am really just a fan of movies to be honest. Where possible I try and get the unrated/uncut version simply because I want to see what the director created and not the censors etc. Of course I want to see ALL the gore and sickness as well

I just saw this thread for the first time in a while.

The movie came in the post and I eventually watched it. I most certainly am glad I made this purchase as I felt it was a great watch. Being a 70s movie I am really not surprised I enjoyed this.
