Me too! Except I had a babysitter that always threw horror movies on for bed time.

I don't know if it was anyone in particular, and it certainly wasn't a formal introduction. But I do remember seeing specific horror films as a child, my older brother and step-brother would stay up late watching scary movies, naturally I would try as well and because of that I saw some movies I was too young to watch that scared the shit out of me (Cujo, Bram Stroker's Dracula, An American Werewolf In London, etc...)

I also remember going to my dad's every other weekend, and occasionally he'd rent movies and I believe that's how I saw Pet Semetary (again, way too young haha).

My interest probably began to grow around 7 or 8, and I saw movies like Demon Knight, Arcade, The Exorcist, etc... saw most of the Nightmare and F13 films by 6th grade and I met a good friend of mine (still to this day) around 7th grade and we had the same interests, we both sought out horror movies and that's when I became a full-fledged horror fan. Upgraded to the likes of The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Romero's Dead Trilogy, The Evil Dead films, etc... Not into horror as much as I used to be, but I'm still definitely a fan.

I pretty much got into it myself. Never had any older siblings or cousins living near me. I just caught horror flicks on the box. Although my uncle gets a special mention. He had a massive VHS collection which me and my mates had a field day!!
