I like the guys music. But his direction has improvement to do.

His first film is a complete mess, which is understandable and forgiveable, being his first. I didn't like it at all. Ho1KC is a big step up, and I enjoy it for a pointless fun flick. He still has a lot of failure in his script though. As for his Halloween stabs, his style simply wasn't suited for the material, at all. I HATE the remake, well, the first 40minutes is a spit in the face to the Myers 'myth' while the last 40minutes is a huge step up. I don't know why he wanted to 'humanize' the personification of evil, and then have him survive a point blank shot to the dead with a handgun of that size. He is a hypercritical dick. H2 I haven't seen, nor do I want to.

Lords Of Salem is looking interesting, and I do believe this type of film is more suited to his style. I'm rather familiar with 'The Witches Hammer' and the 'Witch Hunt' that took place, and last time I looked into it the film was based of that, that was a long time ago though so I'm unaware if it's changed. Looking forward to it though.

I remember when there was talks of him remaking The Blob. And he came out and said how he thought the original and it's remake was stupid, and he didn't like them. How if he did it he would change the creature completely.

A few weeks later he uploaded a picture of his DVD collection, with him standing in the middle, behind him on the wall is a huge poster for the original 'The Blob'. I don't hate the guy but he is such a hypercritical douche.

I never heard that. It was my understanding that New Line always wanted Yu to do it, he rejected it over, and over. Until they made him an offer he'd be stupid to refuse. He hadn't seen the franchises (not entirely anyway). It was wrong of them to do it really, when they had 100's of directors who were fans shooting their hands up. I think its funny that he got Jason's 'lazy eye' mixed up. And how no one on the set, or effects department didn't notice

I missed that, but don't trust it for a second. He has never been one to stick to his word. It wouldn't shock me at all if he came out tomorrow and said his next project was a remake of his Halloween remake.

The real reason is the movie would be rather short. Wouldn't take long for the blob to blow through a trailer park.
