This is one of two films coming out that's based on contract killer Richard Kuklinski AKA The Ice Man, who has reportedly killed over 100 people in his lifetime. Michael Shannon plays The Ice Man in this film. Trailer below:

about time... read his Autobiography, and was awaiting a movie of his life. My buddy was a prison guard in Trenton where he was kept before he died.

ehhh... after watching that trailer, looks like a great movie... but also looks like it strays big time... dude wasn't only a contract killer, he was a serial killer too... killing for fun. And no on ever did anything to his family, they had no idea until the day he was arrested. One guy threatened his family, and quickly died.... I highly suggest the book though, or the two HBO interviews....

Shannon is boss, but part of me wishes they cast Brad Garret instead. I've wanted to see him in serious stuff for a while now and I think this is a role he could have handled. At least would have been worth a watch with him trying it.

He looks to be killing a homeless person @ :25 seconds. So it might not stray too far.

He actually died in this hospital I'm currently working at right now. I believe this is the only hospital they send the state and federal prisoners to in the city. We've got a whole designated wing for them here.

Anyway, the movie looks interesting and I'll definitely watch it. But as of right now, nothing is going to beat the interviews HBO did with him (see Darkgod's clips above). Ones I find quite chilling are the ones where some guy gave him a certain look in a bar. Becoming quite infuriated by it, (I believe) he found him sleeping in his car (or something like that), dumped whole bunch a gasoline in the car and on the guy and lit him on fire.

Another was when he was driving home and some guy was tailgating him. The guy eventually passed him. Kuklinski sped up along side him and believe shot him in the head as he was driving.

It's been a while since I saw the interviews, so I don't know how accurate I am. Might even be in the clips Darkgod posted.

Seems like I have been waiting on this film forever. Can't wait for this! Shannon has become one of my favorite actors ever since being introduced to him through Boardwalk Empire!

Now that I've seen Django Unchained, this is the film I am most excited to see next.

I'm dying to see this. I've read the book The Ice Man about 4 or 5 times. Such a gripping story. This guy was nothing but a killing machine.

That's cool. I never heard of this story until the trailer. Sounds like it should definitely deliver.

In that interview he talks about pulling up on someone to ask for direction and popping him in the head with a crossbow "Just to see if it'd work."

It worked.

Can't believe I have to wait until May 3rd to see this......Grrrr

I've always wanted to see a movie about him ever since I first saw the interviews on HBO, and read the book. A buddy of mine is a prison guard at Trenton State, and saw him often before he died. He said he was quiet and polite, crazy that he is a totally different person.

This looks great I'm really looking forward to it. Michael Shannon is a fantastic actor. I've never seen 'Boardwalk Empire', but I will definitely have to get into it soon.
