http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1964806/Aliens invade and terrorize a small town. Why do some of the townspeople seem to know more then they should about the aliens? And what secrets are the military hiding?
This is a movie made in the style 50's sci-fi horror. If you are anything like me you have seen an attempt to revive this multiple times and normally not done very well. This one was an exception though. It is clear that the director loves and want to pay homage to these movies, walking a fine line between "campy cheese" and "that's just dumb". He even cast Conrad Brooks who was not only in almost every Ed Wood film but pretty much wouldn't let us leave his table until we bought this.
Not to give a gushing review that reeks of "OMG everyone go watch this now!!!" it will not appeal to anyone that is not a fan of old school camp. The acting fits the style (it's not bad but it's not amazing either), the costumes are just hokey and low budget enough. The effects are practical but fairly obvious how they were achieved. Black and white doesn't hide spaghetti sauce to the trained eye.
8/10
because like i said this is really ment for fans of the genre
