If they keep the style of the originals it could be good, but I am skeptical having seen what's been done to other rehashed horror film series.

Maybe it's a new doll altogether?

The ordinary look is a lot more effective than the hacked up "frankenstein" look. It looks like something someone may have around an ordinary household.

they could do something like that, like at the end of part 2 when his blood gets mixed into that wax batter it could just create a new chucky and maybe even 100s of possible Chucky's
from what i'm getting from the plot it looks like chucky is going to be now on a revenge trip and probably kill some girl who get away when he was the lakeshore strangler

How come they go dark and back to the series roots and it goes right to Blu/DVD? Yet Seed had a theatrical run!?

Hey, I'm not saying I don't like the look. I'm just saying he has a 5 head.
I like the original look, way creepier than a doll that's messed up looking. Although he did look bad ass all scarred up, but something "sweet" looking is much more sinister.
I still hate dolls because of this movie.

Can we have real talk here for a second? Can anyone remember a time when there was a sequel to a famous horror franchise that went direct to video and wasn't completely fucking awful? I'm not holding out much hope on this one.

Agreed, that is why I mentioned how the hell could Seed get a theatrical release when it was beyond awful. Now they are supposedly going back to a serious tone and trying to reinvent the series and it goes direct to video? Why? Not even a limited run where you can get it on pay-per-view or iTunes first? Seems quite odd to me.

It can't be any worse than the last 2 movies. It is returning to it's roots which is good but seriously the last two movies even if they were funny were still pretty bad.
I did hear that it is heading to Fright Fest yeah IDK why this is going to Direct to DVD though.
