most of the reviews i have read about this movie have been negative, but i still want to see it, i loved the original and am looking forward to see if they captured at least some of the feel of the original movie.

Ugh, this movie was a chore to get through. Boring beyond belief. I understand leaving some of the story up to the viewer but this went way to far. Seriously, what the fuck happened? From the very beginning I knew there had to be a reason the woman was pregnant as well. That was seriously telegraphed. Bad, boring, irrelevant movie.

So there are two iterations of this movie that are exactly the same? Did the crew behind the second one set a goal for themselves to see if they can duplicate pure shit frame by frame? If so and they did actually make the exact movie they should be banned from making more movies before the people behind the original.

Even though the remake doesn't steer too far from the original, I still find the original a much better film in general.

While the remake is almost a carbon copy from the original and of course that is no better than the classic, even so is pretty decent, I believe.

There is no amount of persuading that can get me to watch either version of this film after watching the remake. I'd rather become an Emo for a day and spend a night in the Gillette factory with a crowd of people waiting for me to leave brandishing water guns filled with rubbing alcohol than watch this again.
