Bronson is a 2008 film based on the life of Micheal Peterson AKA Charles Bronson, the well known criminal and career prisoner. He has spent almost all of his adult life in solitary confinement and is known as the most dangerous prisoner in the UK. Tom Hardy is unbelievable in this! There is a lot of artistic license taken in telling the story of this complicated thug.

I watched 1/2 the movie, and fell asleep. But I do want To finish it, Tom Hardy is one of my favorite actors.

Tom Hardy was the reason I watched this. I did wanna check out Bronson's workout book he wrote on staying fit in prison.

This film was insanely beautiful from start to finish...not to mention Tom Fuckin Hardy stole the show I would def take time out of your day to give this flick a watch.

Agreed. Refn used one Stanley Kubrick's DPs and it definitely shows. This film has a kubrick vibe there's a lot of very wide angle lens shots and symmetrical shots in the prisons and asylums. I like how the film stock changes some scenes are shot on 35mm and some are shot on 16mm stock. Plus Tom Hardy's performance is so damn captivating. He's going to be regarded as another Daniel Day Lewis someday. He's a true chameleon.

Tom Hardy did a great job. The first time I watched the movie I was expecting a bit more, but the second time it grew on me. Plus Tom Hardy is easy on the eyes.

Yeah, saw it (finally) the other night. Hardy was pretty epic...though...I don't think I've seen that much wedding tackle in a movie that wasn't porn, lol.

It's hard not to draw comparisons between this film and Chopper but this is definitely a more "arty" style of film. Both leads play real life criminals with equal amazingness though. Hardy's character is even scarier though. I'm having a hard time thinking of a man that could project so much menace while smiling from ear to ear. That sort of crazy, unpredictability that's totally unsettling. You just know as soon as you relax you're gonna get bit. Or hit. Or worse.

Fucking love this movie, Refn is definitely shaping up to be one of the more interesting/awesome filmmakers around. Drive was the best crime film in a long ass time.
