I was kicking it at home the other day and upon finishing a small, yet effective joint, I was due for a flick. I wanted to watch something I hadn't seen in awhile and came across my Freddy vs. Jason DVD. Originally I seen it twice in theatres because, well, I had never seen a Freddy OR Jason flick on the big screen at that time (Thanks to the remakes that's all a thing of the past). The dialogue in each of these series has never been good or even average. But my god, is it even bearable to watch for anybody else?
Ken Kirzinger as Jason was pretty much a fail IMO, just didn't get into him that much. I also thought that the makeup used on Freddy in the first 3 minutes was way better than what was used throughout the rest of the film. There are some fun kills (the folding bed). I don't think this was the goriest film in either of the series, considering the two villains, you'd expect some more. Overall, mildly fun but pretty tough to get by MASSIVE flaws that the film displays. I didn't expect it to even be a good film but it could have been more fun than what it was. Too bad they didn't have Tommy Jarvis like originally planned. Thoughts?
