The Sandman rarely flops... financially. Critically always.

I actually loved That's My Boy which was a bomb.

I think their biggest mistake was making Hammer the lead.. Summertime blockbuster, you don't want fans wondering who the main guy was.. Should have gone all out and put another big star alongside him.

Pretty MEH movie. Felt like it was trying way too hard to be Pirates of the Caribbean, but with Cowboys and Indians. Was too long and drawn out at times, and most of the comedy was just too silly for me. Some of the action is okay. 6/10

I think it is mainly everyone getting tired of seeing Johnny Depp play the same character over and over. Ever since Pirates came out he seems to only play these outlandish and eccentric characters. I mean Willy Wonka and The Mad Hatter might as well have been the same guy, same with Tonto and Jack Sparrow. I certainly think his time with Tim Burton has ran its course. Their last film Dark Shadows was god awful and imo their last good effort together was Sweeney Todd and even that wasn't GREAT. I think Depp does his best when he plays serious roles. My favorite film of his is Fear and Loathing and even though it gets a lot of shit I love Secret Window. As great of an actor as he was I think it is time for him to move on.
