This flick turned out to be surprisingly good and one of the better recent post-apoc setting thrillers I've seen since Stake Land and The Divide.
The film is pretty simple--basically follows a group of survivors in some sort of post-apoc world, where they have to scavenge for food and shelter. They come upon a secluded house, and it's not long before they're forced to barricade themselves and defend the house, as dozens of dangerous cannibalistic people close in on them.
It's trying to be passed off as a "horror movie" but it's far from one. It's more of an sci-fi/action/thriller. The cannibals really don't act like cannibals, so any sort of genre element is lost on that part. I think it's better off anyway since adding horror into the mix would've probably unnecessarily cheesed it up.
Anyway, there's a good amount of violence, with LOTS of kills and some decent gore. One really badass chick within the group played by Ashley Bell that you'll likely still be thinking about after the movie ends since she one of the key leads and made such a huge impact in the movie. Chick is definitely not someone you wanna be fuckin' wit
The pacing drags in minor parts and there could've been more character development, but otherwise, I really dug it and it seemed to succeed where a lot of other indie films failed, due to the talented cast and filmmakers. 7/10
