Fright Night 2.. underrated sequel, in fact I enjoyed it slightly more than the original.
Oh, it's about the sequel to the remake.

I enjoyed CF's performance like I do in most stuff I see with him. Well, except 'Alexander'. Other than that, I'm struggling to find anything else that warrants it a passable piece of entertainment.
Obviously, I'm not too keen on a DTD sequel. I'm actually not too mad about the sequel to the original either.
For anyone interested I wrote an extensive piece on the classic original. Just go to my site's Essential Viewings section.

Colin Farrell was a decent enough villain. While he tends to act in a lot of mediocre movies, his performances are usually pretty good.
Other than that there's nothing I really liked about Fright Night. The rest of the cast is wasted, the script is lousy and the effects were terrible. The original on the other hand is a hands down classic. One of the best and one of my fave vampire flicks from the 80's. It never gets old and its practical effects blow the remakes digital counterparts out of the water. The original sequel, although with more comedic elements is quite good as well.

I have seen him in a few movies and the guy has zero charisma or personality in his performances. Maybe the chicks (and gay dudes) like him because of his looks, but to me he has no talent whatsoever. He's just an incredibly boring presence in every movie I have seen him in.

Considering he always takes roles in shitty movies with piss poor scripts (Daredevil, Fright Night, Total recall) his performances seem to come out on top.
I don't think I've ever seen a Colin Farrell movie that I've raved about except for Seven Psychopaths, but that's because the other actors had the better parts.

Fright Night 2 is 80's awesomeness and it's cheesy as hell but the type of movie you don't see anymore.

I didn't see the remake because of the awful CGI you can clearly see in the trailer. I definitely wouldn't see a sequel.
