Here are teh undeserved picks:
Shining - over rated, the movie has some great visuals and Nicolson is amazing, but overall has pacing issues
Cloverfield - really? This movie is barely good. No way it deserves to even be on the top 100 horror list
Sweeny Todd? It's not even a horror movie, it's a musical, and as a horror musical Little Shop of Horrors is better, funnier, and scarier.
Saw in no way should be on the top 10 of all time, sure I'll let it slide into the top 100, but no way the top 10


Well they managed to fuck up 4 out of 10 and even the one's left are debatable with the exceptions of Exorcist, Alien, and Psycho

I'd disagree with the following..

Shaun of the Dead - It's more of a horror comedy then a true, scary, horror flick. It's still one of my all time favorite flicks, but as a true horror film, then no.
Psycho - Once again, one of my favorite thrillers, but as a true horror film, no
Cloverfield - Liked it, but far from a horror flick
Zombieland - Over rated, decent flick, but hiiighly over rated
Saw - Good for its time, but as Strt said, would probably fit it into a top 100. That's about it

I completely agree with this. If it wasn't for Harrelson this movie would be in the shit bucket. Hasn't anyone else noticed that it seems like zombies were being killed with gunshots to the body? REALLY?!

I never noticed that before haha. The only part that I truly like is the intro with "For Whom the Bell Tolls" blaring, while zombies run at people.

Agreed that Woody was the only good part of this movie, but I do have an unnatural obsession with Emma Stone. The movie was made because of the popularity of zombies at the time. It was made for kids and noobs to the horror genre.

Yeah the list was made or reflects the idealogy of a current 12-17 year old who thinks most horror pre 2000 is cheesy shit with no good effects/action.

I agree with the person who said The Shining was overrated. It's been a while since i saw it, but i remember it being slow and draggy. Even Stephen King said it had problems. It shouldn't be on the list.

And Sweeney Todd definitely shouldn't have been on the list. The film made me think: very few slasher film fans would want to hear opera music, and very few opera song fans would want to see a slasher film. Bad combo. If Tim Burton had made it a musical with horror themed-heavy metal songs, he might've had something.

I think Sweeny Todd was fantastic, and pretty horrific. And I am no fan of opera music. Nor am I a fan of Burtons.

IMDB's rating system and top lists are a complete joke I love the site and I love there horror board but in general the way things are rated over there are not helpful to horror fans at all

I mainly use IMDb for information, and completely ignore their boards and ranking systems. This list to me is a joke, but I suppose reflects the voters opinions.

I think even on a horror site like this, all our lists would be different and there would be criticism aimed at some of the picks by others who don't share the same opinion.

IMDB, from my point of view is just a database, it is not perfect, ie are not listed there all the movies that have ever existed.

But it's very good, but only in that sense, the things added, mainly the rating are questionable.
