Pitch Perfect (2012)

I don't expect this to be a widely watched film here and I normally hate musicals myself, but this one has received some surprisingly positive feedback, so I thought I'd give it a shot. The flick turned out to be actually pretty good thanks to the funny cast of characters, primarily Rebel Wilson as "Fat Amy" and Adam DeVine (Workaholics) as "Bumper". Adam I liked especially since he's basically playing his Workaholics character

Also, the a cappella music is actually well done, despite a majority (if not all) the actors obviously not really singing Music aside, this is primarily a comedy and a surprisingly good one at that. The trailer really doesn't do it justice, but it's a good thing since all the funny jokes are left in the movie. Anyway, if you have an open mind and are looking for a new comedy to check, I'd say this is worth a look 7/10

It's only a musical in the sense that they do sing, but it's not random like musicals tend to be. Aside from the early bits when the leads get noticed, they only sing during competition and events, so that made things a bit easier for me to handle considering how badly I hate musicals in general But yes, like I mentioned, it's primarily a comedy than anything else
