The review of the Halloween remake was annoying. The movie sucked and RZ is a waste. One point that was made which I found was about the 3 things necessary in a RZ flick....too much cursing, skuzzy/dirty hicks and someone must have a beard

We can just never please you KoolMike. lol, I can agree with you atleast that Rob Zombie is a waste. But if you compare Michael in the remake to Halloween Resurrection, you can't deny that he is far and away scarier in the remake.

I think it was a solid review, I agree with most of the points raised but a little high on the ratings though.

The only thing worse than this remake is its sequel. Both are awful films.

It wasn't a bad review by any means. I just happen to disagree with how highly they praised it.

I'm glad Zombie didn't do a full-on shot-for-shot remake but, at the same time, I was disappointed that he couldn't help himself from throwing in all the Rob Zombie trademarks (excessive foul language, vile redneck characters, cheap attempts at middle school humor, etc). Instead of being an unstoppable (and somewhat mysterious) force of evil, Michael Myers was a psychologically demented relative of the Firefly family.

All-in-all, the Halloween remake isn't the worst horror film I've ever seen (don't even get me started on H2) but it wore out its welcome the first time around.

Rob Zombie did a fantastic job with the remake. I love the "act 1" kind of feel with the background on Michael Myers as a kid, showing how messed up his home and school life was. For these movies to work, Michael has to be scary, and he certainly succeeds in protraying him as such. I loved it.

Can't wait for Halloween 3d!
