Meh.

Looks to me like the cash registers are running low for some of the guys in the Apatow Entourage/Clique, so now they gotta just throw them all in one movie, playing exaggerated versions of themselves in a...(surprise)

Apocalyptic scenario

Maybe if they tried to play/market the movie as two different kinds of movie, with one half being the retarded unfunny half, and the other being the serious apocalyptic half. I'd buy into it, but this looks like straight up comedy, and a lot of these guys have become tiresome.

Franco and Watson (for me anyway) seem like they would be the only reasons worth watching. I used to like fat, annoying Jonah Hill but now that he's thinned out a bit, and has done more credible movies. He seems out of place here.

Jonah is fat again. He was just on Conan and got plumped back up. He probably only slimmed down for 21 Jump Street, which they are making a sequel to, so who knows.

A lot of people think these guys are tiresome and worn out, but I think this movie may revamp their sense of humor. This movie looks totally unscripted and reminds me of Anchorman in a way. Seth Rogen said this was a comedy film and doesn't understand why people are lumping it into different genres. I think it's going to be great, but I'm a big Danny Mcbride fan, so maybe I'm a little biased. Seth Rogen has gotten a little tiresome for me in a sense.

Anywhosit I'm seeing this tonight and I might write a review tomorrow if anyone is interested.

about 20 minutes longer than it needed to be, but over all enjoyable. Every time Danny McBride showed up i was laughing...i thought Red in PE was funny and haven't seen him in anything else, but will have to check out his other stuff (east down/etc)
