    Question for zombie fans

I was wondering if anyone who has met George Romero have asked him what his favorite zombie film is? Also if you have met Romero and he told you something interesting share it here with the rest of the class

Hopefully it's something badass like Burial Ground or City of the Living Dead.

Would be interesting to find out for sure.

When I asked him what his favorite zombie movie was he didn't really give me a straight answer, but he did say he watches Dawn of the Dead '04 the most. And he also mentioned he enjoyed making Night of the Living Dead '69 and Dawn of the Dead '78 the most. That's the only official answers I could get out of him. haha

He's a really nice guy. I mean it could have just been his persona, but he seems nice in general.

He does have that aura of being a great guy so would be awesome to meet him. Personally I would be too shy to ask him what his favourite Zombie movie is.

Nah, once you get to talking to him you'll loosen up. That's just the kind of affect he has on you. He's a great guy. You should try finding a convention he's making an appearance at and GO! It's definitely worth it, trust me.

EDIT - Let me know if you ever do. I'll see if it's near me and I'll go as well. Always looks forward to meeting members!

Shittiest weren't his terms exactly, but Survival of the Dead.

I met him, was a really stand up guy and took the time to talk to and sign everyone's stuff at the convention I went to. I got him to sign my LE Dawn of the Dead dvd that I had Argento sign previously. He took one look at it, laughed and said, "Ha! damn that Dario he took up all the good space!"

I'll vouch for him being a good fellow, also. I sorta just glided through his line so as to not feel I was congesting the flow[damn my empathy and consideration]... high demand guest rawt there. Carpenter was VIP this particular and same year, though. Didn't ask questions, so  The vurld may never know.

I haven't met the man but this is what I've read from his own personal quotes. He said that 'Day of the Dead' is his personal favourite zombie film of his own work. He thought 'Dawn of the Dead' '04 was an entertaining good time working great as an action horror but felt that it missed the point of what he was saying with his original version. He also said that he loved 'Shaun of the Dead'. I read this in an interview in Empire when he was promoting 'Land of the Dead'.

If I ever met him, I would ask him why NOTLD, Dawn, and Day were so awesome whilst Land, Diary, and Survival were so, so, so terrible.

While not in the same league as the original trilogy, I think LOTD is pretty solid overall despite its shortcomings. I'm still on the fence about 'Diary' after all these years and I will need to give it a revaluation. I agree with you about SOTD though.

Yeah, Land wasn't too bad, but you could just feel a different vibe from it.
