This is 40 (2012)

This is a spinoff from Judd Apatow's Knocked Up in 2007, where in this film we follow the married couple, Pete and Debbie, as they hit 40. I always thought Knocked Up was rather overrated--as a drama it wasn't bad, but as a comedy it failed (for me anyway), but I digress. This is 40 is no different, but unfortunately doesn't really offer much we haven't already encountered in either fronts, as it's pretty standard, cliched, and predictable. Regardless, fans of Apatow's dramedies will likely enjoy it, but otherwise it's nothing special. 6/10

I agree with this. Except, I think I would have given it a 5/10. It did not need to be over an hour, let alone over 2 hours.

I am in the minority because i found it to be pretty funny. Much better than Funny People which strained so hard to be taken seriously. If you're married there's plenty to relate to.

Not a fan of Judd Apatow.. I've only seen A 40 Year Old Virgin and it's just the same old sex/gross out humour with a bit of added sentimentality so it doesn't just come as another 'American Pie' knock-off.

This is 40....this was terrible. They fought so much I had to keep reminding myself I was watching a "comedy". I try to keep from walking out of a movie unless its really really bad but I think I looked at my cell phone to check the time about 20 times. Yeah its got some funny parts in it and I laughed some but all in all the movie ended up reminding me of one thing. Stay single....forever.

Gotta agree with that. You'd think a comedy over 2 hours long would resolve some of its storylines.
