Deus Ex: Mankind Divided is an interesting game. Just testing the first mission, followed by an engine-driven cut-scene, throws up some interesting results. The higher resolution mode consists of a dynamic framebuffer system that scales all the way up to 4K, using the checkerboarding technique. The Prague cinematic is notable for its poor performance on base PS4 hardware, while the Pro actually improves on it in most scenarios - boosting frame-rates overall and eliminating tearing. However, the first mission runs at a close to a locked 30fps on base hardware and it doesn't on Pro. At worst there are 20fps dips - something that surely isn't acceptable for a Pro experience. The alpha-heavy conclusion to the first mission sends frame-rates plummeting on Pro while they're closer to a more solid 30fps on base hardware. It sticks out like a sore thumb for any one who has played the original game, and would surely have been obvious to both the developer and the QA team.

Reviews of the Pro are solid across the board but none are written up as well as Gamespot.

They even went into detail with a bunch of games, all positive.

Games that run poorly are most likely not patched correctly and will probably get another patch to fix the issues. Just my guess.
But so far I have only read Deus being the only game with some issues.

The entire Playstation Pro can be summed up in that Gamespot article conclusion

If you already have a PS4, however, I wouldn’t make the upgrade unless you have a 4K HDR TV and the extra cash lying around. Graphics enthusiasts may appreciate the improved anti-aliasing and more vibrant colors, but the differences likely won’t blow most people away.

Plus, even if some games aren't up to snuff, and these aren't just indie games but major titles, and actually decreasing performance then it is a serious problem. Hopefully they can work out their kinks. Almost all of these reviews are saying the same thing as in if you don't have a 4k TV then the upgrade isn't really worth it. Hopefully I can get a deal on a 4kTV this holiday, but even then I think this system is still lacking, despite what all these articles are saying.

If they can work the kinks out then these games will have some serious graphical power. Games like Horizon Zero Dawn will look great if the devs deem necessary to patch it for the Pro.

Many games are having drops in FPS. Current opinion is that the regular PS4 looks and plays better than the Pro

Outside of Battlefield 1 which is fucking fantastic (and runs and looks quite a bit better on the Pro) I am also playing Deadly Tower of Monsters (Free on PSN for November) and Killing Floor 2.

Deadly Tower of Monsters is a game played with directors commentary as you play through his old, cheesy sci-fi flick. It is nothing short of awesome!
The game has old VHS film grain, stop-motion monsters, men in rubber monster suits, 3 different characters you can play through as and change to them at any time...it's just a really fun, unique game!
The commentary never stops and is downright hilarious at times...highly recommended!

Killing Floor 2 is a Left 4 Dead clone which ramps up the mayhem by 100%. It's a game of this nature done right, even with a $39.99 price-point.
It is fast, furious, hard as fuck, and holy shit fun! You can play as 5 different classes which you can rank up for more attributes and slaughter "Zeds" with up to 5 other players in online co-op.
I love how each match has a bunch of rounds (you can set how many) and each round has a different death metal track! Of course each match ends with an insane boss fight.
The game oozes style and thus far has never gotten repetitive or boring. As I type this up I am itching to play it!

No surprise Horizon: Zero Dawn is getting phenomenal reviews.
Currently 74 reviews (71 positive, 3 mixed) in and it is an 88 on Metacritic.

I just picked the first summary on the list from Giant Bomb as mostly all reviews mirror it.

Horizon: Zero Dawn is familiar but also really refreshing. It's not a short game (I spent around 30 hours with it), but the storytelling still feels concise and efficient. The combat has some nice options that make encounters fun, even when you're just stacking up stealth kills from the relative safety of a bush. And the presentation end of the game holds up its end of things with a solid soundtrack, great voice acting, and a cohesive design that makes all its disparate parts fit together. All in all, it's a great game, it's Guerrilla's strongest release to date.
