Found this movie as recently added to Netflix. Never heard of it but it actually looks fairly decent. I'm probably going to give it a try this weekend. Has anyone seen this?

I can't tell by the trailer. It's definitely found footage but I can't gauge what the story is about

It has to do with a group of friends going to a secluded old home and discovering the evil past that has to do with the area or tree or something. Has something to do with witchcraft I believe. I watched about 20 or so mins the other day before looking for another movie since the pacing was horrible and I didn't care for any of the characters. Then again I'm not a fan of POV/Found Footage movies so those who can stomach that may like it, but like I said, the pacing really sucks early on.

You could also check the reviews on Netflix. The last time I looked it was flooded with nothing but 1 or 2 star ratings

I never, ever go by Netflix reviews. Especially for horror movies. Half the people there don't know their ass from their elbow.

Perfect example, there are bad reviews for Hellraiser and its average is 3 stars. This one stood out:

Wow, this was really bad. I would have liked to have seen more of the cenobites and a story line that kept my attention.

Agreed, but when the first page of a movie is nothing but 1 stars, you gotta think it's for a reason

Netflix works as the polar opposite. Another perfect example is Vanishing on 7th Street. That movie is balls. Horrible, almost unwatchable. Yet it has very good reviews for the most part.
