The flick is named Redemption now and I caught it last night. I liked it. It's not exactly the typical Stathom flick, but it does have common elements.

The flick is basically about an ex-soldier that flees the military after committing a crime and lives his life as a bum. While drunk and drugged up, he flees a couple thugs one night and finds himself in a fancy apartment building and learns that the original owner won't return for several months. He takes that opportunity to get his life on track and with the help of a skinny Nun, attempts to find a young female friend/fellow bum who helped him through tough times in the past. In the process he also works as a driver/muscle for a local Chinese gang.

Although there are bits of action here and there, it's not an action flick. It's mostly just about a man seeking redemption (hence the generic title that they changed it to) and doing what he can to achieve it. More of an action/drama if anything. Either way, I liked it. 7/10
