Like, so many people out there were trying to track this down. And it just...got delivered on a tweet. What the hell.

Shawshank Redemption
The Godfather series
First time my knife touched skin
And the red blood started flowing so quick I just couldn't quit
Kept stabbing until everything that I seen was red
The pillow, the blankets, the walls, and even the bed
One color dominating everything like contemporary art
Am I the killer or artist with bloody heart?
Then I curled into a ball in the corner of the room
Feeling like a creep in the light of the moon

Only seen One Flew over the Cuckoo's Nest and 2001 off that list . You're missing out on a great movie with One Flew over the Cuckoo's Nest and like Prime said you aren't missing much on 2001.....I enjoy it , but it took several viewings to get where I'm at with the film

If you see nothing else on this list, you owe it to yourself to watch this film. You are denying yourself much happiness having not seen this film.
That said, I've yet to see:
Oldboy
Chinatown
Raging Bull
Mean Streets
...and I've never seen either Forest Gump or Saving Private Ryan completely, from beginning to end. I saw enough though.

lol come on don't let that be your gripe.
Visually it's stunning. It was made in 1968 and looks like it could have been made in the late 90's. I say that because anything after that just would have jizzed CGI all over the place. The emphasis on the story is amazing. Sure it's a little long, but it's a masterpiece.
Plus you can't tell me
Spoiler...The scene when Dave is stranded outside the bay doors with his crewmates lifeless body "his" arms. HAL won't let him back on the ship. Knowing you're outside, alone, in space, with no food and limited oxygen. The look in his eyes is incredible.
Plus that creepy noise by the singers always gets me.

Oh that is far from being my only gripe. It was just a joke my old film professor made.
I will give you the effects hold up but that is no reason for me to like it. And the scene you spoiler tagged I had to look up a picture of because I couldn't remember it. I think that says something about how impressed by it I was. The creepy noise didn't get to me either.
I have seen 2001 so many times sober and....not.....just trying to get what the big deal was about. I alway found it tedious and pretentious.

It was boring but a very artsy piece of film.
