A remake of the 1970's flick The Towering Inferno, this is the latest Korean disaster flick brought to us from Sector 7 director Ji-hoon Kim.
This is one of the better survival flicks I've seen in a while, as it's chock-full of great characters and heart, especially as we witness strength and courage shine in the direst of situations with certain characters. Filled with a lot of tense situations, you really feel for these people and what they're going through. And while most films are ruined by the ending, I thought the final bits of this flick couldn't have been done any better. 7/10 (but a VERY high 7) Definitely give this one a lookThe story takes place on Xmas Eve where a helicopter accidentally crashes into one of two luxury high-rise apartments, causing a fire, which spreads instantly due to the poorly developed building. This also causes the building to slowly crack and crumble over time. It's up to a group of firemen to aid in the rescue of several of the remaining survivors stuck inside the building before it collapses.
