What Is Your Favorite Hitchcock Movie? Besides Psycho.

Psycho (1960) doesn't count. If it did, that would probably be everyone's favorite.

Mine would have to be Frenzy (1972) about the neck-tie murders.

Love Shadow of a Doubt ... never quite looked at Joseph Cotton the same way again after that performance.

The Birds is really good. There really isn't a film that AH has made that I don't have super admiration for.

Rope is amazing for it's technical details, attempting to make everything look like long takes, and the story itself is great. Vertigo is probably his most beautiful looking film.

I'm going to give a little love to one of my favs, Rope. Jimmy Stewart is fucking amazing in it and the whole extra lengthy takes with a few cuts as the film medium would allow really make a bold cinematic statement and the camera work/lighting/transitions and overall direction truly exemplifies why Hitchcock was an artistic visionary and a genius.

Edit: I just saw Prime chose Rope as well...nice choice

I'm on a Hitchcock vibe at the moment. I'll be checking out his filmography. Psycho, Rear Window and North By Northwest I love. Vertigo, haven't seen that in ages. A lot of others that I need to rewatch.

Lucky for me that the Astor is showing a Psycho/Birds double coming up.
