"Fools believe bullshit without evaluation. Fools believe bullshit without reason, because they like the story or they want to fit in. Fools believe bullshit that has no scientific basis, or in some cases, directly conflicts with scientific knowledge. But foolishness can be cured. We have all been fools at one time or another, and intelligent people learn from their foolish mistakes and try not to make them again." - Dave Silverman

ANOES is a favorite of mine and a very cool twist on the slasher genre that has yet to be replicated. F13th Part 3 is also extremely entertaining, even today. The Thing is obviously an excellent choice, though I'm not too crazy about Saw. Killer Klowns and Child's Play 2 cancel out for me. I acknowledge Dawn's impact on the zombie genre but for me personally it is not holding up as well over time, some of the makeup/effects I find to be pretty bad. I daresay I prefer the re-make now. *ducks*

Gotta love Nicholson in Wolf. The Divide and A Serbian Film were both really disturbing movies that linger with you long after the credits roll and practically demand a mental palate cleanse after viewing. Ballsy picks that will probably cost Orlok votes but for me it works.

Great picks on both sides but I'm actually leaning slightly toward Orlok on this one.

I also prefer the Dawn of the Dead remake for the same reasons as you and found the remake much scarier. Still like the original though.

_Friday the 13th Part 3 (Steve Miner, 1982)... (OK sequel but not my favorite and burdened by the crappy, dated 3D effects)
_Child's Play 2 (John Lafia, 1990)... (Was never a big fan of the series)
_A Serbian Film (Srdjan Spasojevic, 2010)... (Haven't seen but have heard many good things)
_Wolf (Mike Nichols, 1994)... (Boring. I've tried watching it twice and could never finish it.)
_The Divide (Xavier Gens, 2011)... (Actually have never even heard of this one. Will have to check it out.)

    Darkgod
    _The Thing(Carpenter, 1982) ... (A classic)
_Dawn of the dead(Romero, 1978)... (One of the best zombie films EVAR!)
_ A nightmare on elm street (1984, Craven)... (Biased here. NOES has always been my favorite horror series)
_Killer Klowns from Outer Space(Chioda,1988)... (Not a great favorite, but always a fun watch.)
_Saw (Wan,2004) ... (Good, but nothing I was amazed by.)

    Darkgod gets my vote.

_Friday the 13th Part 3 (Steve Miner, 1982) (Very "Meh" sequel. Boring and hokey.)
_Child's Play 2 (John Lafia, 1990) (One of the stronger sequels in horror.)
_A Serbian Film (Srdjan Spasojevic, 2010) (I couldn't get into this film. Shock factor, yes. But boring...not my cup of tea.)
_Wolf (Mike Nichols, 1994) (Terrible. One of the worst Jack Nicholson films.)
_The Divide (Xavier Gens, 2011) (I really enjoyed this one. Very bleak and disturbing.)

    Darkgod
_The Thing(Carpenter, 1982) (THE best sci-fi/horror film ever made IMO.)
_Dawn of the dead(Romero, 1978) (My favorite zombie film up until the remake )
_ A nightmare on elm street (1984, Craven) (Re-defined horror in the 80's. It is a classic.)
_Killer Klowns from Outer Space(Chioda,1988) (Used to love it, doesn't hold up. Definitely down for a remake.)
_Saw(Wan,2004) (Love this film. Big fan of Wan. This movie brought back cringing in your seat.)

    Went with Dark.

Big fan of Orlok's first 2 picks. Watched the trailer for The Divide and might watch it sometime. Thanks for that rec.

Vote goes to Darkgod for being a fan of more movies on his list.
