Superman Vs Batman Is Coming In 2015

I'm liking the look of it so far. Very dark and moody.

That's exactly everything Superman is not, so they're either making a decent Batman movie or another piss poor Superman one.

I dunno, I can't think of any revered or popular Superman stories that are dark and moody. Even the darkest I can think of (The Death of Superman) is light and tragic...and odd combo. Most popular Supes storied are hopefull and optimistic.

On the other hand many great Batman stories are dark and dreary (Long Halloween, Death in the Family, Court of Owls, Return of the Dark Knight, etc) Batman is just a dreary character.

I think Batman works best when instead of the fate of the world resting on his shoulders, it's smaller stakes or the fate of an individual. I think Supes works best when it's full on fate of the world type stuff. The best Supes/Batman stories bring both aspects into one IMO.

Where I think they work best together is in stories that are intense yet light hearted.

I actually really enjoyed Man of Steel. I'm looking forward to this movie, but will force my expectations to stay on the low side. I'm hoping they lightly introduce the other JL based characters and keep the meat of the film being Bats and Supes.

I think a Superman story can be "dark and moody" (see Alan Moore's stories) but the character shouldn't be "MY PARENTS ARE DEAAAAAAAAAAD." However, this new Superman is unfortunately a victim to the idea that superheroes have to be brooding, doubtful reluctant heroes. There's somethings I liked about Man of Steel; the line "Krypton had its chance" really surprised me and I liked it, but then you've got things like Clark asking a priest if he should answer this world-threatening Kryptonian.

I like the 5 'o clock shadow. Michael Keaton had it in the first film.

And I can just hear the rants from die hard fans complaining about how void of color it is and they just wanna make it like Batman. Hell, I'll admit it is in the grittier side but I'm not as negative about it, I liked Man of Steel and I'll see how this plays out.

That's a pretty good-looking Wonder Woman there and in retrospect I should have expected that kind of color. Seeing this and that bootleg pic of Batman in the DKR armor makes this the first time I'm genuinely excited for this movie.

I'll admit, that is a damn nice teaser. They should use that for the first teaser trailer in theaters a year form now. Have it premier along with Age of Ultron.
