I really don't think it looks that good to be honest. Some scenes in the trailer just don't look right(cgi wise) such as wonder woman flying/jumping at the end of the trailer

Most critics are clowns that have no business reviewing movies. Ive never really cared what about what critics say anyways, If something piques my interest I need to form my own opinion. Hell if I believed what people say Id be like everyone else who thought the Babadook was the greatest horror flick in the last decade. But thats beside the point.
Those are reviews are mostly from pop culture mags an sites with a few reputable papers too. But two days ago I read alot early fan reviews that said they loved the movie too. And even all those reviews that were"Trashing" the flick eveyone one 'em also said the movie was still highly entertaining . Either way im there first showing Friday Morning..

I mentioned that about the reviews because I was not expecting this backlash. I typically don't give a rats ass about reviews either but what is being said is so harsh it almost seems out of place...only reason I posted it.

As for the best horror movie of the past decade, I believe that could be The Witch

Most of the negitive shit i read was them whining about the darker tone , then there was the typical clunky world building that slows the story down. Its typical shit. Not that im a huge Zak Snyder fan. But nerds hate on him like gorehounds hate on Eli Roth. I frequent a few pop culture nerd sites an half the articles stir up all the divisiveness of a film an then slam them in the review so they can say."See We Told Ya So".

Zack Snyder makes movies for the true comic book fans. Christopher Nolan makes movies for the critics.

Watchmen is severely underrated IMO and better than The Dark Knight. Probably the ultimate superhero epic ever made.

I also like 300 (and its sequel) and Sucker Punch

. I'm a bit iffy on Man of Steel, though. I'll always like the Christopher Reeve flicks the most when it comes to Superman.

But anyway, I can't wait for Justice League and Suicide Squad.

Uh I'm a huge comic fan and I call bullshit on that. Sure I loved watchman but there were some flaws in the movie and Man of Steel was garbage from a comic fan perspective he got the characters WAY wrong. (movie-wise it was ok). To just imply that "anyone who doesnt like Zack Snyder isn't a comic fan" is nonsense...there are comic fans that like him, and comic fans that dont, and comic fans that find him so-so. (I fall more into the so-so category as of right now)

I'm still holding judgement on BvS and I intend to see it this weekend in imax, I don't pay too much mind to critics though I understand that not every movie is for everyone. (Though Snyder already has a superhero sinker in the form of Man of Steel so there's a little evidence going against him right off the bat...heh heh bat)

EDIT: Just ordered tickets to the 1:10 Imax on Saturday

I didn't mean to imply that.. no two people are going to agree on anything. But Snyder does seem to be more of a comic book fan than Nolan. Nolan is a wannabe Kubrick/Michael Mann.

As far as Man of Steel goes, you can't remake Superman '78 or even George Reeves which is classic Superman. They tried that with Superman Returns and it sucked. I don't mind that they tried a different direction with the character.

It's a bad movie. The script sucks, Eisenberg is a twat, Batman and Superman are petty douches, Affleck is okay. Snyder gets credit for his big action scenes, but this movie is surely not evidence that's he's good at making them. I didn't buy any of the characters except Perry White and Wonder Woman and they're barely in it. I was never invested in the story and I rolled my eyes a few times. Eventually, I was just waiting for it to end, which takes a long time. The future Apokolips invasion scene followed up with the Flash stops the movie dead in its tracks.

This movie is gonna make a fuck load of money and this may mean the same level of quality for Justice League is to be expected if the principle players are involved. If it ain't broke (bombing) don't fix it (get a new fucking director and writers).

Hope that Lego Batman movie is good.
