Decent ep, but I like Morgan and find all his traveling on foot and meeting new people interesting.

Observations...
- First Morgan centric episode I was absolutely bored with
- This show is definitely going to blow up the character count by the end of the season...unfortunate combined with everything else...wouldn't surprise me if its around 20 or more
- The bottle approach is so tired and stale

Ive said it from day one, while FTWD season 1 is probably on par with TWD seasons 1-3, the series should have been an anthology. They could have explored different aspects of surviving a zombie filled world, without committing to a central story or character base.

Agreed. The show rode the coattails of TWD and initially debuted an impressive 10+ mill. viewership 3 years ago, but has predictably been hemorrhaging viewers at a staedy clip ever since. As of the last few weeks it's down to its lowest at 1.8 mill. You can roll the dice of tiredness and trite only so long.

I actually thought it was one of the better episodes.
In fact, i think this season has been pretty good so far. Its gone places TWD has not really gone. Its predictable and fairly poorly executed (like a 5 of 10) but i cannot expect more from them at this point. They never wanted to invest in TWD for some reason and FTWD is the red headed step child of a cash cow that AMC has refused to properly fund.

They definitely made a mistake in removing the original showrunner and the original vision. Especially when critics were warming up to the direction of the show in Season 3.
By killing off the lead and more or less becoming another version of the main show. They turned away a lot of what was left of the loyal viewership that stuck around for the first 3 seasons when others left. They gambled that Morgan and more colorful, likable comic like characters (John/Al for example) would see the show have a big increase in ratings or at least stop the bleeding and instead, its only continued. They underestimated Morgan's popularity and the loyalty of the fans of the original vision of the show where the Clark family were to become more and more villain like as time went on.
People that stuck around were watching for Fear The Walking Dead, not Morgan and friends.
If they really wanted to take a gamble with viewership. They would've used Daryl instead, but because so many fans 'ship' him with 90 percent of the characters. They were never going to move him away from the main show and the Carol relationship, especially with Rick and Maggie leaving. Then they could've seen if Daryl had the popularity the network thinks he does.
Either way, I would've preferred sticking to the original vision. This second half has been pretty directionless, with a bath salt Michonne somehow causing people trouble roaming around with one sharpie faced walker at a time.

Perfect opportunity to kill off that crazy lady before she took off, but nope, that'd be too easy. Dunno why they're still keeping her around at this point. Maybe she'll kill off more people from this POS new group or something

You know... im so split with Fear right now.
They killed all the interesting characters, got a bit boring. but then started doing things that TWD had not, they started taking a different direction. So they are taking a different path but the characters are not as interesting, its basically become the Morgan show and the drawn out conflict, poor writing that TWD is known for exists.
They don't need this psycho lady character, there's enough going on with simple survival. It could be close to the first half of season 5? I think it was... which was probably the only good half season after 1,2,3.
I have this feeling that FTWD is full of creative people who want to do things but are being controlled a bit too much by AMC.

With Morgan and co. going to Alexandria and the ratings for Fear really going downhill, it just seems like they're maybe gonna have another season or two of them make the trek to TWD before ending the series

Fucking good shit, sad too because of what has happened to the show.
Its a tell when creators pretty much leave out a lot of a season in their work, in this case Season 4 when the Network hijacked the original vision.
The series finale was basically Season 3. Everything since is just poor fan fic from a Network that can't leave well enough alone. This is also why new spinoffs are basically pointless despite them planning them. They'll push the panic button when they realize the show isn't going to have Season 4/5 TWD peak ratings and what you're left with is something totally unrecognizable.

So they need ethanol from that truck but one of the new, dumb, characters decides to shoot it up... okay, she shot it like 3 feet up from the bottom.... its a cylinder... there's still more in it, just stab a hole below the bullet holes.
How did these people make it this long?
And btw, if they're already on the brink of fucking death, drinking ethanol or alcohol wont help.

Anyone important die tonight?
Dr. Sam Loomis: I prayed that he would burn in hell. But in my heart, I knew that hell would not have him.
