    Ti West

I've only seen a few films from director Ti West but he certainly takes Direct to Video/Limited Releases and gives them a deeper quality. I had tried to watch THE HOUSE OF THE DEVIL a while back but found it a little slow but I opened my mind to it and felt it was possibly one of the best throwbacks I have seen. THE INNKEEPERS as well chooses to focus on slow moody scares rather than the slambam of todays horror films.

This guy is adding depth to the genre. Just wondering what everything thinks about him.

I think he's overrated. Only thing I really liked of his was his V/H/S segment. Other than that..maybe his acting in "You're Next". It was just a funny scene. Other than that

I've only seen V/H/S, V/H/S 2 and THoTD and loved all 3. I still want to see The Roost and The Innkeepers as well as You're Next.. I do like his work and I hope it gets better and better..

His section of The ABC's of Death was an embarrassment but I liked the tone of the Innkeepers, even if it had kind of a disappointing finale. It was better than the ending to House of the Devil. He succeeded with The Innkeepers where James Wan failed with The Conjuring.

Most contemporary directors of horror don't even try to actually craft a real film. They're not filmmakers they're makers of horror movies. So in that case I have to give him respect beyond whether I've fully enjoyed his films or not. He's not taking the easy path.

I like what he attempts in his films, but don't necessarily like any of his work

i tried watch ABC's and it was horrible. His segment on VHS was one of the strongest.

As someone said previous I give him massive respect for actually trying to craft a film rather than shock value which is what most directors nowadays try to do.
