the conjuring spinoff, Annabelle

I'd give the flick a low 6/10. Not much happened for the first half, but it had a couple pretty solid scares, especially one sequence near the hour mark. Aside from that the movie wasn't anything special. I still dig The Conjuring more.

Saw this today, and I agree with what you said. I wanted to like it more, but I couldn't. And yeah, that scene was my favorite without a doubt.

Bacon's spoiler is awesome and one of the better scenes in recent horror flicks but mine is still the last part of the storage room sequence when she looks back down the stairs. Most genuinely creepy scene for me in recent memory

This movie which cost $6 million to make is up to $80 million domestically and $180 million worldwide in 3 weeks!

Again kudos to how this flick was filmed, the camera work gives it it's charm and maximizes the money shots for full effect.
Bacon's spoiler is a perfect example. The outcome of that scene was brilliant and it was all based on how it was shot. Nobody expected that.

Cliche'd movie but the final product is so far ahead of what expectations were because of the effort put into it IMO.

The storage room scene was good but the rest of the movie was way too predictable. You could clearly tell what they were building towards by sharing a little of the other woman's back story. 5/10. A 4 of those points come straight from the storage rom scene.

The storage room scene was pretty intense, bring stuff like that through the whole film and it woulda been pretty amazing.
