It's a book of stories that I think people take too literal. But, this is a Darren Aronofsky film that he received the final cut of. If you're going to have such a problem with its source material, then don't watch it. People don't need to hear the opinions of the bible. It's going to be fantastic imo and I don't care for the bible at all.

I am confused by this phrasing, but ok.

I just found it humorous that Paramount is now tip toeing and is putting a warning on the movie even though the source material is already pretty extreme.

Meaning, it's going to be an Aronofsky flick, people don't need to hear others complain about the source material. If you don't dig on the Bible, then don't watch the movie

And, personally, this is Aronofsky's biggest film yet. I think a warning is good for people who aren't familiar with his past work.

Which fucking version of the bible is that? I want to read THAT version!

But seriously, I guess studios want to put up that warning sign so they don't piss off whatever guild of religious extremist nutcases that would take issue with a blockbuster biblical film directed by an Atheist. It just stuns me how much we let the religious rite get away with everything, like Chik-fil-a! Religion needs to be cracked down on and be strictly limited its opinions ONLY in church or living rooms, it has nor should it have any other voice besides those two places.

Oh well, just baby steps. If Noah is a box-office phenomenon hopefully it'll give H-wood bigger balls to not be so afraid anymore, hell even gives Comedy Central a reason to air the South park Prophet Muhammad episode where he's in a bear costume.

Movie was alright, but dragged quite a bit, especially towards the end. Visually it's great, but I'm kinda MEH with everything else. It just seemed like the movie didn't know when to end. A good 30-or-so minutes could've been trimmed, in my opinion. 6/10

Darren Aronofsky sucks. He joins David Fincher, Christopher Nolan and James Cameron.. as the most overrated directors. Pretentious hacks.

I forgot this movie even came out... and am refreshed on my stance of never bothering to see it.

Not so, I liked some of their earlier works. I like Pi and don't mind Requiem for a Dream (despite how preachy and over dramatic it gets). I love Aliens and Terminator. I like Alien 3, Seven, Fight Club and The Game. Memento is ok.

I just think whatever spark of talent they showed early in their careers is mostly gone now. It seems success has gone to their heads. Such as Black Swan and The Fountain.. and now this - overrated, pretentious garbage.

I don't know how that makes me a hipster, but whatever.

^^ This. Plus you say the directors are hacks, then go on and say Requiem for a Dream was a little preachy and dramatic. You do know that it's based on a book correct? Sure Aronofksy did some writing, but the majority of the material is from the book. You like to comment on an overall movie that has many things going for it, but you don't comment on the directing. What was wrong with the directing in Requiem for a Dream? I thought it was beautifully done, but that's just my opinion. You are making it seem that these people, and the movies you listed, were the Director, Producer and Writer..but anyway..

I just got done watching it and I liked it. I'd probably give it a 7/10. I'm not going to go around preaching on what I believe in and say who's right and wrong, but for a movie, it was really well done.

The cinematography was beautiful and the acting was top notch. The writing was a little meh, but it's a simple story. I could have gone without the lead bad guy. I thought he was pretty cliche. It didn't feel long to me at all because I got sucked into the story and I love Crowe's acting.

James Cameron was popular before Titanic and Avatar were made.. and I hate both movies. David Fincher made his name in the 90s, and I used to be a fan.. just don't care for anything he's made after that. I supported Darren Aronofsky up until he made The Fountain, which I thought was just a terrible movie. As for Christopher Nolan, I also bought into all the Batman hype, until I began to see how overrated those movies are.

So, I don't hate them because they are popular. I hate them because they make bad movies. Especially when they used to make good movies that I liked.
