In nearly every episode a copy of child's play 2 can be seen on his shelf among the video tapes

In an episode where Kramer goes to hollywood he interacts with an older women and she tells him about her time in horror films and her Stooges short and it closely resembles a scene from the film Visiting Hours.

There is an episode titled the burning Jason Alexander starred in a film called the burning

Am I reading to much into it? is either Jerry Seinfeld or Larry David slasher film fans?

Only thing I noticed was The Burning thing. They probably threw that in there because, as you said, Jason Alexander was in it. The rest, I think, is just coincidence.
