Big fan of the original POTA films. Rise was good...but I really hate CGI...no matter how well done. Those ape masks worn in the original films were pretty cool. Anyway, the trailer looks pretty exciting and I'm in.....I like what I've seen so far and want more.

'Dawn' is not just a good genre movie or a good summer movie. It's a great science-fiction film, full-stop, and one of the year's very best movies so far.

This vivid, violent extension of humanoid ape Caesar's troubled quest for independence bests its predecessor in nearly every technical and conceptual department .

I don't have time to do an in depth write up but this is by far the best movie I have seen this year. It lives up to the hype and then some. Fantastic film that may get overlooked during awards time but it shouldn't. Andy Serkis deserves an Oscar nod for this! He was spectacular!

About 24 hours my best friend committed suicide, in an effort to temporarily drag me out of my depressed state a couple buddies dragged me out to see this. I found it an excellent distraction for the 2 hour run time. The movies so well written and acted that you can't help but be thrust into the world they've created. You really care about the apes, and you really care about the humans. Both sides have you rooting for them, so when the finale rolls around and war breaks out you find yourself not wanting to see either side have any casualties. This is what summer movies should be about, great film making, ground breaking special effects, and fantastic acting all around. The standout being Serkis as Ceaser, seriously give this guy the oscar.
