My new favorite Marvel film. Easily a 9/10 here. I thought it was constantly entertaining and the on screen chemistry was utterly fantastic. Amazing visuals and a great inter-weaving story that coincides with the Avengers, but at the same time..making it a standalone film.

Plus it has the absolute BEST end scene in Marvel history, let alone in any film. So unexpected and put the biggest smile on my face. I liked it so much, I'm going to write a review on it tomorrow

Now that I'm settled in at work, please allow me to elaborate.

This movie, to me...is perfection. I don't see how anyone can find faults (everyone has their own opinion so this will happen, but you know what I mean) with it. I had a grin on my face from ear to ear the entire duration. It's such a light hearted movie with darker overtones that truly focuses on its characters. Make no mistake Pratt will be a superstar after this. He fucking OWNED this movie.

The combination of action, comedy, and even music is mixed so perfectly together it is joyous. If you were to see the songs listed on the soundtrack to this movie you would be scratching your head. But not only are they good, they are used so perfectly they come off as odd placement at first...but just for a split second then you realize how amazing it blends in with the craziness of the film. Perfect example is when Quill is dancing! Fucking loved it!

No doubt about it 10/10 from me. Instantly one of my favorite movies I have ever seen. Very rarely in films are there scenes that give me goosebumps of joy but it happened many times with Guardians. One of the most enjoyable movies for the entire running time I have ever seen. Trust me, no pacing issues here.

Special kudos to Rooker yet again for playing...well Rooker. He seems to play the same character in everything he is in recently but he added enough flair to this character to fit into the zaniness that is Guardians.

Saw it last night and LOVED IT! I got a bit nervous with how much they packed in but Gunn paced it well and it never felt like to much. A wonderful balance of serious and comedic. I think he hit the right balance of not overloading new Marvel fans that don't know the universe while not talking down to those that do.

I can't wait for the sequel and I am really hoping that Gunn takes up Whedon's offer on Avengers 3.

Movie was fantastic. Went to a sold out showing in I-Max and everyone was all smiles at the end, typically I'll hear a couple people saying negative things, but everyone was calling it one of/the best movies they've seen and I agree. Seriously rarely do I feel close to characters in movies, but this movie gave me the feels from a freaking Raccoon and Talking Tree. Genuinely funny throughout, each character have moments to shine, and the action is off the chains. 10/10 If I had to pick a favorite character it would be Drax, laughed the hardest at his literalness.

In a word "Perfection!" Wow where do I begin? This flick was absolutely brilliant from start to finish. It was by far the most enjoyable movie going expierance that I can remember having in decades. I mean wow this movie awoke a feeling in me that I haven't. Felt in 25 to 30 + yrs. Shit I felt like I was 7 or 8 yrs old. Man G.O.T.G. Reignighted what it was like to truly love movies on the big screen! I tell you what. For me It was exactly like when I was kid an seen Goonies,Gremlins,Ghost Busters,Short Circut,E.T,Indiana Jones and of Course Star Wars. Those were all flicks I seen on the big screen when they had their theatrical run, Much Like G.O.T.D. these are movies that stick with you hours after you watch them. This movie had it all, an Excellent Director/Writer("Slither" one of my numerous top 5's) The Acting was top notch! Holy Shit that was the best mocap/CGI I've ever seen the mix of Practical effects was seamless. What a vibrant weird fun world and the fucking cherry on top! The fact that its all ties in with the rest of the MCU. I my opinion this movie just Raised the Bar on Comic Book Movies. Man I'm still pumped after that

I went Into guardians of the galaxy thinking it was gonna be a good movie. I didn't expect not only the best movie marvel has ever made, but the greatest Scifi space epic since the empire strikes back. It was amazing. Awe inspiring. And beautiful. I'll be seeing this multiple times. Best movie of the year. And that scene after the credits? I cracked up.

Sounds good, I'll probably check it out. The hype is strong with this one. I hope it doesn't turn out to be another Pacific Rim though, because people were hyping that up too and it ended up boring and forgettable. We'll see.

Wow man, this movie really surpassed the hype. I definitely had goosebumps leaving the theater. It's kind of odd to me, I always see articles on the internet with questions like, "What is Marvel's secret? How are they enjoying this much success?" You can tell that Gunn was passionate about this project. The script was dripping with a perfect blend of his own zany humor as well as what you would expect from a Guardians of the Galaxy storyline. There were a couple of scenes where I was surprised at how hard I was laughing. Really enjoyable experience all around. I'll probably give it another check in the theaters (it's been years since I've been able to say that). It also gave me a craving to give "Slither" another watch through.. another James Gunn classic. Thanks to DMHhead777 and Warbeast for their super positive reviews.. they easily sold me on seeing this movie as soon as I could. Worth it!

I just learned about the cameo and that's pretty awesome. Hopefully the character in the cameo will get its own movie down the track, even though a certified classic already exists. Screw GOTG, I want some more HTD.

Fantastic movie, really a step up from most blockbusters. Def the best sci-fi movie I've watched, one of the best action-adventure movies...and maybe even the best comic book movie. I really hope this crushes the box office, it deserves it.

Also, the end scene had me dying, I'm SOOOO glad no one spoiled it for me.

I think it's funny how people originally was saying this movie was going to bomb at the box-office... I somehow knew it was gonna kick ass and take names, and it sure as hell did. So far, it's my favorite movie of the year.. and this is coming from a guy with a big Godzilla tattooed on his back, so that's saying something. LOL

If there are still people holding out and haven't seen it yet, don't miss the opportunity to see it in 3D. James Gunn said himself that this movie wasn't just filmed then converted to 3D, it was made with being 3D in mind and I could tell. It was amazing.

Saw this with my oldest finally and loved it. Really fun from the start, good pacing, lots of action, cool characters (Groot rocks!) and some surprisingly funny scenes. The random dancing towards the end And that stinger

Finally got a baby sitter last night so we could go to the movies.

This flick was just flat out fun and probably the best movie to bear the Marvel name to date. This movie felt like what the star wars prequels should have been.
