Great flick! Really interesting characters and though mostly dialogue driven it was all pretty interesting and fresh. Good performances all around, especially from Kurt Russell. Loved how the story played out and it was all really beautifully shot. I'd give it a solid 8/10

Well, that was pretty amazing. After seeing it, I would say that it is my 4th favorite Tarantino film..my personal order goes
1. Pulp Fiction
2. Reservoir Dogs
3. Kill Bill
4. The Hateful Eight
5. Inglourious Basterds
6. Death Proof
7. Django Unchained
8. Kill Bill 2
9. Jackie Brown
I'd throw in his four rooms segment somewhere after Hateful Eight, but before Django.
It was seriously an extremely well done film.I received a cool little program before the show telling everyone about the movie. While in the theater, an overture played and it felt like I was in a theater. It really set the tone for the whole film and I actually think this is easily one of his best films. The dialogue is fantastic and the whole movie feels like a poster child for his overall work. Haven't seen a Tarantino movie before? Watch Hateful Eight or Reservoir Dogs. The run time didn't bother me either. 3 hours honestly felt perfect for this kind of story. It kept me guessing until the very end and the performances were top notch. My favorite performance was Tim Roth's. Everyone in this film did well and I am surprised Walton Goggins did such a good job. To me, he seemed to always be a good actor, but never got time to shine in Tarantino's films. He really showed his acting ability here.
Speaking of acting ability. Channing Tatum comes out of nowhere with a great performance. I'd say his performance in this film is better than all of his movies put together. Tarantino really brings out the best in people.
Overall, I'd give this a very high 8/10. It's some of his best work and if you don't mind the long run time and for it to be EXTREMELY heavy on dialogue, you will be rewarded with amazing directing, an impressive script, and amazing cinematography. The performances were all out of this world and had a story that was familiar, yet felt unique at the same time. I am a huge Tarantino fan and this film shows why. He's 9 films in and shows he is a master director. Go see this ASAP!

Agreed, I must've either forgotten or had no idea that Channing Tatum was going to be in it, so I was really surprised when he showed up. Solid performances all around.

I agree it was Walton Goggins best role. He never impresses me and comes off as goofy in everything, but in this that slight goofiness was perfect for his role and he really blew it out of the water at the end.
Though once again, Sam Jackson stole the show. It's like him and Tarantino have some type of mind bond, those two are perfect together.
I think I'm going to go back and watch the regular version. I know that the movie is going to play out differently when you know the outcome...especially Bruce Dern's character.

Watched it last night. Very solid. Great performances from all. I agree with you on Goggins being perfectly cast for his part, but I have to say he's always impressed me. His Boyd Crowder role was gold. I'm generally sastified with Tarantino flicks, and this one was no exception.
