Female Slashers

When I think of slasher flix I rarely think of the ones that star women as the threat. Michael, Jason, and Freddy are usually the first 3 that pop into our heads. Was wondering who are some of your favorite female slashers?


Mrs. Voorhees tops my list....the ladies in these flix were pretty cool:

the hack/slash comics did some female slashers very well. Sadly under used in movies unless its some crazy angry teenager girl with nothing to really offer

While not a slasher, I like Jennifer Jason Leigh's character in Single White Female. The stiletto heel through the eye scene was a pretty awesome kill.

I know they've already been mentioned but the Sleepaway Camps especially 2 and 3 are often overlooked and are classic 80s slashers.

Also, Straight-Jacket directed by the great William Castle is a classic often overlooked as a slasher pre-curser
