Mr. Nobody is simply one of the smartest and most perplexing films I've seen in years. It's unfortunate that it hasn't received the release or proper marketing that it should already. I don't even think it's out in the US yet
Anyway, to sum up the complex story the best way I can -- we follow an old man that has the ability to not only see into the future, but also see various scenarios that he can take in his life if certain paths were chosen. The two key and constant themes in the movie are love and choice.
The story itself is much more complex than that, but next to Inception this is one of the most intricate and engaging films I've seen in years. It's definitely a film that must be seen more than once in order to fully "understand" everything, but even then I don't think there is any definitive answer, which is why it's such a great movie -- it really just leaves a lot to the viewer to decide, and much like the story, has many possible outcomes.
I'd definitely recommend checking this movie out, especially if you want a film that will really require your full attention and will force you to rethink all the events you witnessed hours after the credits roll.
Highly recommended 8/10
