I think the people who criticize his "comedy" are one's who appreciate actual comedy. What amounts to set up observational humor and gay/fat/retarded jokes is as low brow as you get. His stuff has always been a tier above Adam Sandler and with The Interview, he seems to go full Sandler. I take that back, all he needs is the product advertising that Sandler gets away with and he will be a near mirror image of him.
The only thing ive truly enjoyed him in is when he guest appears on The League as Dirty Randy. But that of course is not his writing and is a complete 180 from his character in his movies.
