Welp a friend who is a reviewer invited me to a press screening and GULP... one of the worst theatrically released horror movies I've seen.

Not an original bone in its body and it relies so heavily on jump scares. There are a few Laugh out loud unintentionally funny moments, but there's also about an hour where nothing happens.

My friend just came back from a press screening and said it was an hour and half of critics checking their Facebook. Not a good sign. I'll avoid this one.

Caught on the d/l, glad I didn't pay for it. There just wasn't anything new/interesting in it. Even the "twist" was a little yawntastic.

I haven't seen it and I believe I'll wait for it to air on television. The trailer looked like a forgettable 1.5 hours of jump scares in the same vein as The Possession (2012).

I agree with Fright and Tony's ratings - 4/10 for me as well. The story was rather boring and the characters bland. I also found most of it highly predictable. The only thing I really liked was Lin Shaye.
