Story never should have gone beyond 2 films. I've had enough and know how this part of the story ends. Money hungry/grubbing leaches have gotten all they're going to get from me
Like, so many people out there were trying to track this down. And it just...got delivered on a tweet. What the hell.

The best parts of the book are Riddles in the Dark and Bilbo's encounter with Smaug. The battle of 5 armies is pretty lame, just more CGI bullshit. Might give this a download.

I'll still see it in theaters when it comes out, it'll be the last of the LOTR adaptations, unless they get PeeJ to do more spin-offs of it to cash in on the fantasy aspect, but either way, it's an experience worth finishing, Smaug is awesome and there's nothing wrong with epic battle scenes even if they are saturated with too much CGI, bleh, but still.

They've already filmed the best parts of the book. Don't care for more cgi battle scenes and extra padding to fill the 3 hr running time.

I still have to watch the first two. I only watched the Lord of the Rings films once.

3 hours running time ? Better pad that with an intermission, because I don't think I can sit there that long.......still not interested in paying to see this......they've padded the story long enough......Star Wars may lose it's title for milking a story by the time its all said and done
Imagine years ago I prayed for the Trilogy to be made a feature length film (s), and now I pray for it to end (easier said than done)

Finally saw this--liked it. Surprisingly decent pace considering the lengthy running time. Some good action. Not as fun as some of the other flicks, but definitely entertaining. 7/10

I caught this in IMAX 3D and fucking loved it.. but I guess I don't sport a popular opinion about Peter Jackson's Middle Earth movies.. I've enjoyed the hell out of all of them.. extended versions and all.. This one was righteous.. it starts off on such a powerful note, Bard the bowman squaring off against Smaug.. I really liked how it showed, through all of the devastation and peril, while everyone is running for their lives, this one lone normal human runs the other way, straight at this unstoppable force of destruction, not for any other reason than someone had to try to stop it before it killed everyone.. I love righteous stuff like that.
The rest of the movie had a great pace, I never once felt it lag and there was so many powerful moments to be found through out the final battle. I don't give a fuck if it's an unpopular opinion around here, I think Jackson raised the bar on the epic fantasy movie with his Middle Earth movies, I've seen every movie Jackson has directed and I'm always anxiously anticipating his future projects.
