Caught a screener of this recently and (as expected) I thought it was a pretty good movie.

For nearly the first half it's a dark and gritty (almost noir-esque) sci-fi detective tale that revolves around an insurance investigator for a robotics company trying to track down the source of these rogue robots that are supposedly repairing themselves. By repairing themselves they're ignoring a certain protocol that's programmed into their system, which worries the robot developers, because it could result in a severe increase in their A.I.

Certain events occur that causes the second half of the flick to be almost entirely different, especially as we learn more about what's behind all this, but it's integral to the plot, so I'm not necessarily complaining. I just wished it had kinda stuck with the dark tone it had from the first half. Either way, it's a pretty solid sci-fi flick and an interesting look at what makes us human. A high 7/10 from me

Underrated does not begin to describe it.
This is what I, Robot should have been. This movie honors Asimov and his contributions to our society.

Typically we see a sci-fi movie either have a creative idea but bad execution, or good execution with a common/overused idea.
This is one of the few sci-fi movies.............. hell, moves in general, that have a great execution and is creatively handled.

I'm sorry people, but this movie is boring as batshit. Exposition central. And none of the actors do a good enough job to make you care. Like attending a university lecture. Great production, though, nice visuals of a gritty future, but just forgettable.
