I've been out of the Horror loop for a bit now.. and after the abortion of a flick that I last saw in theaters (As Above, So Below).. I am wondering a very certain question: What are you (as fans of the Horror genre) most looking forward to in the coming year in terms of Horror movies?
Personally, I just want to get a sense of things to look forward to as well as possible recommendations that I might overlook. It doesn't just have to be big screen releases.. I'm talking rereleases.. collector edition DVDs.. straight to video flicks. I genuinely want to hear your opinions.

Like, so many people out there were trying to track this down. And it just...got delivered on a tweet. What the hell.

I might be seeing The Babadook this month if all goes well and I don't blow all my money beforehand.
Asmodexia looks good. Love Spanish horror, so I'll probably check it out.
Jesabelle looks like another Grudge/Ring rip-off movie.

As good as the trailer looks, I just can't escape the feeling someone is going to fuck it up, and the film never makes it to the screen here in the States.

Poltergeist. I wish they would give me the damn trailer already.

Damn Macready.. even those stills have me freaked out. The trailer just whetted my appetite for some fear inducing fun.
That Babadook movie looks scary as hell. Like our Boodgeyman movies, but, more frightening.
They really are going through with a new Poltergeist?! I keep seeing it in my "google recommended searches" whenever I type in Upcoming Horror Movies.. but I just thought it was a restylization of the movie poster.. you know.. the one with Tangina's character on the front? (hold on.. gimme a sec)

..that was kind of creepy.. when I saved the image it was listed as "Mondo-webuyyourkids.jpg" anyway.. so are they going to replace Tangina? I like that Sam Raimi is attached to direct.

I don't mind a Poltergeist remake, because the original is fun but hardly a classic. Spielberg has his grubby mitts all over it. If they make it more of a psychological/disturbing horror flick it could be awesome.

It's a tough movie to remake. I remember when my dad showed me the original, like.. My dad, in my eyes, was superman.. so to see the movie that freaked him out as a young 'Un was something special (the preacher still haunts me, just read my writings) but for some reason those damn skeletons in the pool thing had me waking up from nightmares for a solid month. It didn't help that my best friend had a pool that they'd taken out if commission for the winter so it was half full of earth and leaves.
