I'm looking forward to this looks pretty good and FX seems to put out alot of solid series could be another one.

Its actually better with each new episode with new twists and turn's still haven't found who the killer actually is!.

They revealed who "the Beast" was last week. Everyone knows who he is now but they aren't aware yet how close he is to the task force. Unless they're setting things up for a second, bigger red herring but I don't see this fellow being run by an as-of-yet-unseen person like lunatic minuteman in custody.

Okay. For the most part.. an impeccably written show. I know this will sound odd.. but did anyone else think that they completely ripped off the ending of se7en with the climax of the serial killer plot on the bridge in the first season?.. I mean they even had the wisened cop running onto the scene shouting "stand down! The killers holding all of the cards!" And the detective holding the gun asking, "is he on the phone? Is he on the phone?" Was a step away from "what's in the box? What's in the boooox? " not to mention all of the while the killer is begging the detective to shoot him to fulfill his "ultimate plan".

I hadn't actually thought about that but you're right. The original is on HULU I believe and it would be interesting to see if that was influenced by Se7en or the writers adapting it for here. It's impossible to deny the influence of American cinema on foreign filmmakers and vice versa so it's all part of the cycle.

It's a really good show. I'm not much of a Diane Krueger fan but she plays this part amazingly. I've read it's not too far off how she is to deal with for real so perhaps that's why.

I think it was interesting that this show started up about the same time Mexican cartels entered the stories of nearly every other cop/crime show I was watching. They became the new favorite boogieman. I think a lot of this had to do with their prominence in Breaking Bad, though none of these shows adequately portray the severity and breadth of the threat. They're at least starting to show that the threat isn't confined to the Mexican side of a few border towns.

Reading over my post.. I didn't mean it to come off as snide as it sounded. It was an odd set of episodes for me to take in because outside of the end to the serial killer line of story this is genuinely one of my favorite fx shows. I genuinely enjoy the dual culture story line and feel that this season was a strong step in the right direction.

I wonder if Season 2 has been all original or if it's also an adaptation. AMC's The Killing was good but I thought it got better once they were out of the adaptation stage (most of which I still feel was actually an homage to Twin Peaks).
