Ive always felt any horror movie, even the good ones, could have had changes made to make it a better movie or the very least, different.
For instance, I'll name a couple.
John Carpenter's Halloween
Pretty good movie, though I feel its kinda showing its age nowadays. Still a classic, about the only thing I would've changed is the ending. This was before the horror sequel craze was really a thing. I would've kept Michael in the grass. Why? To end it once and for all. I felt the movie was realistic enough, so why they tacked on the ending of him getting up after 6 shots is beyond me, it almost ruins it IMO. This was well before Friday the 13th, Nightmare, etc. So having him die then and there would've made all the sense in the world, the anthology idea could've had more credence too.
Friday the 13th
Everyone debates the merits of the film. Was it a classic? Was it terrible? Was it somewhere in the middle? I would've changed the mythology of Jason and the ending.
1. Give us proof that Jason did indeed die as a child
2. Remove the dream sequence ending
This obviously takes away from the creepy, jump scare dream ending and pretty much the idea of Jason ever being the killer in the series. However it would've probably helped F13 in the long run with fans and critics alike. A much more polished film.
Just a couple things I would've done different.
