Scream Factory: Sleepaway Camp II and III Coming to Blu-ray

Scream Factory, the horror-thriller offshoot of independent film distributor Shout Factory, confirmed today that it plans to release on Blu-ray Michael A. Simpson's Sleepaway Camp II (1988) and Sleepaway Camp III (1989). Both films are expected to arrive on the U.S. market in the first half of 2015. I might end up getting this but wait until a sale or get them cheaper online most likely.

I mean... is that necessary? They DVD's seemed a bit excessive given how bad that series was. Don't get me wrong, 2 and 3 were my yank material when i was 12, but how many copies can they possibly sell? Enough to warrant bringing it to blu-ray?

Not worth owning on blu-ray, in my opinion.

Scream factory rules, plus these movies hold that nostalgia factor. On the other hand though, i'm not a huge fan of the transfer of dated movies to HD. Blue Ray brings out all the flaws and defects, and takes away the charm that 35mm or whatever they used... but its coolthat they chose these flicks i guess.
