Netflix released Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt today

Is anyone going to check it out? I'll give it a shot it looks like it could be funny. I laughed once or twice during the trailer. Ellie Kemper was great on The Office. This was show rescued by Netflix, NBC originally going to make it but then decided to pass on the show. Netflix came in and gave the show a two season order.

Ended up stayng up til about 3 in the morning binge watching all the eps, I really enjoyed the show. The show would've fit right into NBC's old schedule with 30 Rock, Parks, Community, and The Office. 8/10 bring on season 2!!!

I watched the first couple eps last night--I like it. Some of the comedy works, while some is just too silly. Entertaining regardless. Love the intro

Finally got around to finishing the season and I really enjoyed it. Was a little mixed at first, but the characters grew on me. Lots of hilarious stuff. Looking forward to another season

I dunno if anyone still watches the show, but the writers are clearly out of ideas now. I thought the last season was bad, but this latest season was the worst. It still has its moments of being funny, but it just doesn't have the charm it once had. Hopefully the next season is the last.

I agree, the quality has dropped drastically. The first two seasons were a lot of fun, and while I thought season 3 was a step down (though was still funnier than most shows), this latest season has been a real let down. Well, half-season, as Netflix, for some reason, chose not to release the full season at once this time. Incidentally, there is no next season. This, season 4, is the final season.

Anyway, this season so far feels like it's suffering from the same problems as the final season of 30 Rock (which makes sense, considering both shows were created by Tina Fey) in that it feels like its rushing to tie up story lines and characters that it spent multiple seasons developing. There's a bluntness to it, a kind of "We're canceled, let's get this over with" vibe that's off-putting and undermines the performances. We've seen these characters be funnier, it's a matter of the writers giving the actors less to work with.

By the way, does anyone else think that Carol Kane is the unsung hero of this show? I like all the primaries, but Kane has a way of sneaking in and stealing a scene that would put E.G. Daily to shame.

Arrested Development's newest season is guilty of this as well I hear. I think it's normal length, but they are splitting it up or something. I couldn't really get into it though. Series has suffered since hitting Netflix.

I think it's an Emmy ploy. Just like AMC did with season 5 of Breaking Bad, by splitting one season of some shows down the middle and putting the second half off until the following year, it essentially gives one season two chances to win an Emmy. It's dirty pool, IMO, but the Television Academy doesn't seem to mind.

I'm not saying this is actually what Netflix is doing, but I think it's a sound theory. Particularly since Netflix films full seasons before releasing a single episode. Unlike most cable and broadcast TV shows, which start filming a few months before air date and are still filming episodes after the latest season has started to air.

So has anyone watched the interactive episode that was released? because that was awesome I laughed pretty hard at it. It was pretty long to my playthrough/watch of the episode took nearly two hours it was more like a interactive movie, I highly recommend watching it
